The Safari Download & Save to Camera Roll Workflow
Because iOS sandboxes web downloads in iCloud Drive or local storage, saving a video to your Photos library requires a simple tap of the Share sheet.
- In Safari, paste the URL on SnapAny and tap Download.
- Safari will prompt: "Do you want to download [filename]?" Tap "Download".
- Look at the address bar for the small blue circle with a downward arrow.
- Tap the arrow > Downloads > tap the video file.
- Tap the Share icon (square with arrow pointing up) in the bottom-left corner.
- Select "Save Video". The video is now permanently in your Photos app Camera Roll!
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I not see "Save Video" in the Share sheet?
If the file was downloaded as WebM or audio-only, iOS Photos will not show "Save Video" because Photos only accepts MP4/MOV formats. Always pick MP4 on SnapAny for iPhone.
